Atomized Copper Powder
Atomized copper powder is prepared through the atomization technique, which is a method where liquid metal is dispersed into fine particles and rapidly cooled to form powder. This technique can be categorized into two processes: water atomization and gas atomization.
Water Atomization: In this process, liquid copper is dispersed into tiny droplets under the impact of high-pressure water jets. These droplets are then rapidly cooled to form copper powder.
Gas Atomization: Here, liquid copper is dispersed with the aid of high-velocity gas jets, such as nitrogen or argon, and then rapidly cooled to produce copper powder.
Atomized copper powder typically has high purity and a good morphology. The particle size distribution can also be modified by adjusting the atomization conditions.
We offer atomized copper powder produced using the direct water atomization method. The copper powder presents a light rose-red hue and possesses an irregular shape. Its apparent (bulk) density can be adjusted, ensuring good filling characteristics. Additionally, it undergoes a specialized anti-oxidation treatment, allowing for extended storage.
